{"id":753,"count":21,"description":"Carla\u2019s life of colour started January 14, 1976 in Pretoria, South Africa. During Spring, a flood of purple Jacaranda trees blossomed in the city showcasing their beauty and beginning a lifelong fascination with colour.\r\n\r\nCarla\u2019s love for painting took over after finishing an interior design diploma at University. Although she never formally studied art, Carla is always developing her knowledge and furthering her abilities. She has taught at the Original Arts Company\u2019s art school and has presented multiple workshops to artists and novices alike. Whilst this has offered many aspiring artists a valuable insight into her processes, it has simultaneously afforded Carla Bosch learning experiences which feed into her own abilities.\r\n\r\nCarla approaches her work with an impressionistic style, using impasto paint and bold brush strokes to distil dynamism and emotion into her paintings. The warmth and cheerfulness of her landscapes, coastal and street scenes are true to Carla\u2019s vibrant personality. She loves painting plein air and is equally at home in her studio where Carla prefers to use images more as reference points.\r\n\r\nCarla Bosch continues to expand her potential and regularly represents on the panel of prestigious art awards as well as submitting works of her own. She is a Best of Acrylics 2014 international competition winner, whilst her most recent accomplishments include: being juried into the 2015 LPAPA Best of\u00a0Plein\u00a0Air Show; a first place award in the 2015 Paint San Clemente quick draw competition; and no less than two\u00a0mentions in the 2015 Paint San Clemente main event.\r\n\r\nCarla has also, for the fourth year, been invited by the Crystal Cove Alliance Art Council to join a select group of\u00a0plein\u00a0air artists in showing their original paintings in the Crystal Cove 2018 Fine Art Program. She has been juried into the acclaimed 2017 La Quinta Arts Festival, which is rated best fine art festival in the United States, and to top it all off, she has been juried into the 2016, 2017 & 2018 Festival of Arts\/Pageant of the Masters art spectacular in Laguna Beach, California.\r\n\r\nWhile Carla\u2019s art finds its way all over the world, she and her family now reside in the USA where she continues to share her impressions of life with brush, palette, canvas and paint.\r\n\r\nForest Gallery work closely with Carla on special commissions, including large scale paintings.
