{"id":16001073,"count":10,"description":"Alfredo Navarro was born on the eastern coast of Spain in the city of Alcoy (Alicante) in 1965. Initially inspired by his father, Navarro attended the art school of Escuela Municipal de Bellas Artes at a young age. He continued his education in Valencia where he received a degree in economics at the Valencia University as well as an art degree from Circulo de Bellas Artes.\r\n\r\nHe then returned to Alcoy to paint and apprentice under the painter\/teacher Selles. Also a painter, Navarro\u2019s father taught his son the techniques of oil painting.\u00a0At age 19, Navarro began painting professionally and in 1986 received first place in an art exhibition sponsored by the Government Delegate of Galicia in Spain.\r\n\r\nNavarro considers his technique somewhere between Realism and Hyperrealism. His studies provided an admiration for the artists\u00a0<i>Velazquez<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Picasso<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>Greco<\/i>. Navarro respects\u00a0<i>Velazquez\u00a0<\/i>for the artist\u2019s ability to capture the soul of a person in a portrait and the colours and atmosphere used to create the paintings.\u00a0<i>Picasso\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0<i>Greco<\/i>\u00a0are admired for their bold creativity and expressive colours.\r\n\r\nForest Gallery are pleased to also be able to offer a commission service for any special requests which you might have.
